vision for the community

Julia Sharp loved people. She brightened a room when she walked in. She beautifully embodied the fruit of the spirit. Julia was genuine, gracious, kind, polite, appreciative, endearing, gentle, and the quintessential southern belle. She was also strong willed and tough as nails with strength to endure more pain than most without complaint. Her Christian faith and love for the Lord was most important to her. She had a way of reaching out to others in love and friendship, and she especially cared for children. This activity field and walking track is named in memory of her, in memory of a life devoted to love that flowed from Jesus.

Thad Sharp loved the community. He was quick-witted with an outgoing, engaging personality; a perfectionist who was happiest when he had a new project to work on. He devoted his life to serving the community, whether it was sitting on a number of boards, volunteering as a firefighter, or sponsoring a scholarship at Hunt High School. He served as a lifelong trustee and deacon at Nobles Chapel. The pavilion is dedicated in memory of him, in memory of a life devoted to serving Jesus both inside and outside the walls of the church.
